IB Student Meetings

  • Grade 9 and 10 Students
    • Meet the first Thursday of each month from September - April each school year in Room P15.
    • Topics are picked by the students in the September meeting
    • All non-IB students that are interested in IB are invited to attend as well!
    • 2012-2013 Dates and Topics are:
      • October 4 ~ Diploma vs Certificate and all IB classes offered with pre-req.
      • November 1 ~ How to prepare for college applications: what do my four years look like?
      • December 6 ~ IB vs AP vs Honors classes
      • January 10 ~ 9th graders only - Registration for 2013-2014 school year
      • January 16 ~ 10th graders only - Registration for 2013-2014 school year
      • February 7 ~ IB Students (11th/12th grades) Q & A - bring your questions for the IB students!
      • March 7 ~ IB Testing: External and Internal exams - what are they?
      • April 4 ~ CAS & EE - what are they?

 

  • Grade 11 and 12 Students
    • IB Club Meetings are the 3rd Thursday of each month from September - April each school year in Room P15.
    • Topics are picked by the students in the September meeting
    • All students taking at least one IB class should attend each month
    • 2012-2013 Dates and Topics are:
      • September 20 ~ Testing information (ALL students taking an exam in May 2013 MUST attend this meeting), fundraising plans & future meeting topics
      • October 18
      • November 15
      • December 19?? or 20?? ~ Possible IB lunch to invite back alumni
      • January 17 ~ 11th graders only  - Registration for 2013-2014 school year
      • February 21
      • March 21
      • April 18 ~ Testing information - ALL students taking an exam in May 2013 MUST attend this meeting     


Student Calendar and Timeline

    Each IB student needs to have a planner (either digital or pencil/paper) that they carry with them to school daily. This calendar should have all important class dates and details as well as all of the IB dates listed below.

Study Skills Information


Diploma vs. Certificate Pathway

Each IB student needs to choose which pathway is going to be best fit for their educational goals.  Students should attend the grade 9 and 10 monthly meetings to learn more about their options and the various pathways they can take in IB.
